Pre-School Martial Arts Program

Our Pre-School Martial Arts Program is aimed a children between the ages of 4 and 5, with assessments beginning as young as 3, and provide children with the most basic fundamentals of Martial Arts training, all through the aid of small, short term goals and rewards. Classes are taught at a slower pace than the regular children’s classes, allowing younger students the opportunity to flourish without the need to keep up with bigger, stronger youths.

On-Site Programs

At Focus Martial Arts our on-site programs are those which can be implemented in pre-existing childcare locations. Our on-site programs offer the same curriculum and belt structure as our ongoing program, all delivered to you on-site at your childcare location! We are prepared to offer this service in:

  • Schools
  • Aftr School Programs
  • Community Centres
  • Other Youth Organizations

All of our onsite programs will provide students with a uniform, white belt (and all other belts between white and brown) and other equipment designed to help students maximise their training. For more information on how to implement an on-site program into your childcare location, please contact Focus Martial Arts.

Ongoing Programs

At Focus Martial Arts our ongoing programs are those currently running during weekday evenings, which are offered year round with no set start time – we continually accept and encourage new members in our ongoing programs. Programs also benefit from a variety of payment options and will provide children with everything they need to make it to black belt and beyond!

Program includes a uniform, a white belt (and all other belts between white and brown) and use of Focus Martial Arts training equipment to help your child reach their Martial Arts goals! For more information on how to join one of our Ongoing programs, please contact Focus Martial Arts.

Lesson Structure

Lessons are offered in thirty-minute allotments, allowing students to work collectively within a group, feeding of the energy and positive examples set by others, while at the same time teaching students how to set and pursue their own goals by finding their own pace they feel comfortable with. Within our group lessons a portion of the class will be dedicated to character building discussions, as well as Martial Arts themed games to keep enthusiasm for training high!

Using Martial Arts Responsibly

As part of our pre-school classes, children will have the opportunity to learn how and where to apply their knowledge gained from their martial arts study in their daily lives. In addition to improving life skills, a portion of every class will be dedicated to teaching children will about personal safety, bully prevention/avoidance and the “do’s” and “don’ts” about strangers.

This aspect of the program will make students aware of potential dangers, and the ways in which martial arts training can help them deal with and/or avoid potential dangers. As students learn and grow within the program, so will their confidence, pride and understanding of how to use Martial Arts in an effective and responsible manner.
